Ken and I went to Portland a couple months ago and stumbled upon a great Irish Pub with a very knowledgeable and friendly bartender. He had what I thought was an Irish accent but he said he was from Scotland! No biggie as I am both Irish and Scott along with a bunch of other European mutt varieties.
I asked this bartender named “Jacob”, what he would recommend as a tasty sippin whisky with a price range in the $7-8 area. He poured me a shot of “Bulleit Bourbon, Frontier Whiskey”. Wow! so smooth! My drink of choice most every evening is Black Velvet made up into a John Collins. I love the Canadian Whiskey because of the smooth, light taste. So I thought Jacob did a fine job of recommending to me something along those lines of my taste.
Paddy’s looks nice on the inside with a huge wall of every type of liquor you can imagine lined up in rows all the way the very tall ceiling. Jacob has his push ladder behind the bar to get to them. Anyway…I would highly recommend a visit to Paddy’s located at 65 SW Yamhill Street, Portland, Oregon 97204. www.paddys.com. Thanks Jacob!
